Location
Mabamba Wetland is a great marsh area on Lake Victoria in Uganda that spans 25 square kilometres. This incredible destination is a 40 minutes boat ride on Lake Victoria from Entebbe city and can also be accessed by road, taking a 60 minute drive with a ferry crossing. It is an ideal destination for those looking to simply spend a day with our feathered friends or set eyes on the bird from the dinosaur era – the Shoebill Stork.
Activity Summary
This great marsh is a birder’s haven and a truly magical place to fall in love with bird-watching in Uganda. One of the best bird-watching destinations in Uganda/East Africa where thousands of tourists visit every year as it provides natural habitation to over 300 unique species of birds including the Papyrus Gonolek, Lesser Moorhen, African Pygmy Kingfisher and the ancient Shoebill Stork.

- 6:20am – Transfer by motorized boat to Mabamba Swamp,
- 7:00am – Bird-watching in the wetland with a birding guide
- 11:20am – Transfer by motorized boat back to Nakiwogo landing site in Entebbe
- 12: 00pm – Transfer by road back to the hotel.

- 2:00pm – Transfer by road from hotel to Nakiwogo landing site in Entebbe.
- 2:20pm – Transfer by motorized boat to Mabamba Swamp,
