We were on Weisman's Peak in the Rwenzori Mountains - with great guides in a dreamlike landscape, in Queen Elisabeth Park - where we could observe wild animals in their natural environment, in Kalinzu Forest with the chimpanzees, at Rhino and Wildlife Ranch and in Kampala & Entebbe - two cities where life is pulsating. We also got a good insight into the culture of Uganda. Louis from Pumba Adventures organized everything perfectly according to our wishes & ideas. Both the tours and the accommodations were great. John & Louis were brilliant guides who could tell us a lot about nature, wildlife & life in their country. Thank you John & Louis for the wonderful, unforgettable time - Uganda will stay forever in our ♥️♥️.
We highly recommend Pumba Adventures Tours in Uganda. Four of us (adults) traveled with them to Murchison Falls National Park, Queen Elizabeth National Park and Bwindi National Park along with some side adventures. They are a Ugandan owned company and, as such, bring an important and beneficial perspective. They worked with us before the trip to customize the itinerary, were extremely responsive to all communications and requests and operated with integrity. Great company culture and great guides! Great fit with the four of us and lots of excellent conversation, laughter, stories and information. In addition, we really appreciated that our guide Louis was very tuned into our rhythms and proposed different flexible options as we traveled that he thought we might prefer. The wildlife in Uganda is abundant and amazing and the differences among the different areas led to different wildlife but all was fascinating. Among many other things, we visited a white rhino preserve and tracked them on foot as well as doing a gorilla trek and chimpanzee trek in the parks, did river trips and game drives - all terrific experiences and so thrilling to be able to be so close to the wildlife. We felt completely safe and well cared for during the entire trip. The Ugandan people are all very hospitable, helpful and warm. Everyone should travel there. We are looking at another trip to Kidepo National Park in 2025 and we will definitely travel with Pumba Adventures Tours!
The tour in Uganda with Tumba Tours and Louis was a highlight. The trip was perfectly planned and we saw and experienced a lot. Louis was the organizer and guide. He is absolutely reliable, friendly and welcoming. The safaris left nothing to be desired. We saw giraffes, elephants, crocodiles......... and even leopards, lions and a shoebill. The highlight was the visit to the gorillas. It was so impressive, almost indescribable. You have to experience it. There were also encounters with the local population, hikes, visits to distilleries and coffee plantations. It was a tour with many highlights and also relaxed times in a friendly atmosphere. The accommodation was luxurious and the food very good. I will never forget this vacation and I am grateful for the many wonderful experiences and impressions.
